ANNIVERSARIES
Wayne
Berry
and
Steven
King
are
celebrating
their
12th
anniversary
of
marriage
on
Oct.
28.
Twelve
years
together
as
husband
and
husband!
(We
don’t
know
how
that
happens,
either.
Just
glad
it
does!)
AWARDS
I’m
celebrating
winning
the
2008
Creative
Loafing
Critic’s
Pick
for
Best
Burlesque
Dancer
in
Atlanta.
I’ve
worked
really
hard
for
the
last
five
years
trying
to
perfect
my
craft.
I’ve
experienced
a
good
bit
of
flack
regarding
my
name.
Experienced
some
latent
homophobia
and
racism
and
yet
I
still
continue
to
perform
because
I’m
wholeheartedly
committed
to
the
idea
of
women
of
size,
queer
folks,
and
women
of
color
taking
up
erotic
space.
It
means
a
lot
to
get
critical
acclaim
and
I
want
to
thank
all
the
folks
who
voted
for
me,
and
my
queer
community
who
have
always
been
a
safe
port
in
the
storm.
